Team 23: What stuck with us?

July 6, 2023
<p>It’s been a few months since our team went to Team 23, Atlassian’s gathering of minds and knowledge for their annual conference. This is a dive into the things that we haven’t been able to forget – and want to tell our clients today. </p> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Partner Connections </h3> <p>We got to engage with our fellow Atlassian Partners, with their varying levels of certification and specialization. These organizations and team members are always looking at what Atlassian is developing and researching, but they’ve got a wealth of knowledge for how to support users and admins. We learned ways to get creative in working as a team, and strengthened our partnership with Atlassian. </p> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">James Cameron’s thoughts on teamwork</h3> <p>Our keynote speaker was THE James Cameron, director of <em>Titanic </em>and <em>Avatar</em>, and his discussion with how teamwork contributed to his directorial success. Specifically on the set of <em>Avatar 2: The Way of Water</em> he was working with the resources available to you, and they all had to take in the team’s feedback &amp; solve the problem together before moving on. The example he used was a team of sound designers, engineers, and acting professionals all collaborating to reset a scene that was not accomplishing the visual coherence needed for the big IMAX screen. Now, whenever we see an Avatar reference, we’re thinking about teamwork! </p> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">New features with Atlassian </h3> <p>The biggest news from the conference was AI integration with Confluence, but there are other features we can’t even summarize, so check it out below! </p> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-style-h3-screenshot"><a href="https://events.atlassian.com/team23/v/s-1477933"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="559" src="https://wordpress.highwaythreesolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/play-team23-1024x559.png" alt="" class="wp-image-2063" srcset="https://wordpress.highwaythreesolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/play-team23-1024x559.png 1024w, https://wordpress.highwaythreesolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/play-team23-300x164.png 300w, https://wordpress.highwaythreesolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/play-team23-768x419.png 768w, https://wordpress.highwaythreesolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/play-team23-1536x838.png 1536w, https://wordpress.highwaythreesolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/play-team23.png 1650w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px"></a></figure> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Cloud Migration stories – Netflix </h3> <p>Since we have endless curiosity for how to migrate data into the cloud, we loved hearing Netflix’s journey and the details for how they had to build migration tools from the ground up sometimes. The scale of their migration meant that custom tooling was required to support &amp; test the success of their transition. Our clients have the benefit of these concepts being explored by Highway Three before your migration is started, and that’s a partner advantage that never stops giving. </p> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://events.atlassian.com/team23/v/s-1425418"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="559" src="https://wordpress.highwaythreesolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/play-team23-1024x559.png" alt="" class="wp-image-2063" srcset="https://wordpress.highwaythreesolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/play-team23-1024x559.png 1024w, https://wordpress.highwaythreesolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/play-team23-300x164.png 300w, https://wordpress.highwaythreesolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/play-team23-768x419.png 768w, https://wordpress.highwaythreesolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/play-team23-1536x838.png 1536w, https://wordpress.highwaythreesolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/play-team23.png 1650w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px"></a></figure> <p></p> <p>We can’t wait for Team 24, and to use our knowledge for our client’s success with Atlassian tooling! </p>
