Automation for Jira

<p>In October 2019, Atlassian acquired Code Barrel, makers of the very popular Automation for Jira add-on. This is great news for the Atlassian community! If you are an Atlassian cloud customer, or are considering moving your Jira server to the cloud, you are in luck. Atlassian is now providing Automation for Jira at no extra cost for Jira and Jira Service Desk cloud customers.</p> <p>There was always a free tier for Jira server, but it didn’t include most of the desirable features of the full version. If you wanted to automate sending emails, create if/then branches or automate workflows beyond the very basics, you needed to purchase and maintain a separate add-on.</p> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Benefits of Automation for Jira</h2> <ul><li>The native feature helps you and your team automate tedious, repetitive tasks so you can focus on high-value work.</li><li>Work can get messy.
